In a brief yet dynamic history, the online survey research market has already worked through a variety of phases. We began with “ignorance is bliss,” which quickly turned to, “uh oh, there are some unique problems here”. Quality issues then took center stage. These concerns have certainly been complex and in some cases polarizing. We hope to move into a new era of high quality service performed within a framework of universally accepted terms and practices. To get there, we need to come together as an industry to share objective research, discuss viable conclusions, and formulate appropriate next steps.
For the past two years the CASRO Panel Conference has provided a forum for such work. We are now planning our third edition, which, as in the past, will focus on primary research initiated by market researchers on critical topics (detailed below). We are also seeking to mix-in presentations and panel discussions from key practitioners on future trends and industry developments in the quality arena.
Our clients are asking the research community to provide a quality product. With changes happening so quickly, the only way to stay abreast of the latest thinking is to participate in forums such as these. The quality debate is too big for one company to understand on its own. Clients want to see an industry solution to quality concerns and your contribution to those solutions will help shape the future of our industry. We encourage your participation.
