Abstract

A good online survey provider will have a comprehensive set of online reporting tools. The marketer should check the percentage of people who actually click on the invitation to go to the survey, and then track how many people abandon the survey after each question. If the total completion rate is low, but no individual question has a high drop-out rate, the survey may too long overall. If the total completion rate is down, the marketer should cut out a few questions or consider removing a few variables from any large grid questions. Doing a pre-test is another suggestion.
