Title Cost and Errors of Web Surveys in Establishment Surveys
Year 2000
Access date 28.01.2006
Abstract Surveys performed on the Web are extremely cost-attractive and they are becoming an increasingly important mode of data collection.  However, the problems with sampling frames, the lack of technical support for the person eligible to answer in an establishment survey, and specific non-response patterns, make this mode extremely problematic. The following paper overviews the state of Web survey methodology, the prospective and, particularly, the issues of costs and errors of these surveys.
