Abstract Postal mail surveys have been the mainstream choice of survey research for decades (Mehta & Sivadas; 1995). However, with the advent of computer networks and the World Wide Web, Internet-based surveys have recently become popular. Internet-based surveys are a new development in the counseling profession and have varying favorability among researchers. Therefore, this article will present specific guidelines for conducting research utilizing both modes of methodologies simultaneously.
