This article describes how the SCP dealt with the difficulties and the trade-offs that they are accompanied by while conducting these surveys. The lay out of the article is as follows. First there will be a brief description of the history of survey research among non-western non-natives in the Netherlands and the choices and problems with defining the target population. The second part will give a brief description of the problems associated with the sample-side while conducting survey research among non-western non-natives in the Netherlands. The next section deals with the non-sample side and the final part discusses the role of the organisation of the fieldwork and how it effects the quality measurement.
