Abstract Although Web sites and presentations are different, one may be surprised how many principles can successfully cross over between the two worlds. While looking for inspiration for the structure and design of a presentation, there are an abundance of ideas and examples on the Internet. A great deal of research has been done on how people use Web sites. Experts have studied how visitors navigate through a site and how their eyes move across a page. The result of this research is a wealth of practical knowledge about how to organize and design Web pages. Experts in Web design explain that Web sites need to be structured to suit users' tasks and point of view rather than the company's preferred organization method.
