Abstract Small and mid-sized businesses may be especially drawn to online research now because it can be inexpensive. While telephone and mail surveys may carry a pricetag in excess of $100,000, online research does away with most of the labor, telephone, postage, printing, and facility rental costs associated with such surveys, and can usually be carried out at just a fraction of the price.
