Abstract In the 1995 Association Technology Trends survey conducted for ASAE, it is noted that while only 11% of associations had Web sites, it could be expected that presence will grow to 61% within one year to 18 months. As of 1997, the number of associations' Web sites has increased to an impressive 67%, 6 points beyond the prediction. In a roundtable discussion, industry experts discuss the results of the Web survey. Donald Dea of Fusion Productions states that currently most associations are simply digitizing content or products that already exist in print and then putting them up on the Web. Robin Kriegel, CAE, American Association of Medical Society Executives, states that her members' access to and willingness to use the Internet changed dramatically in just 18 months.
