Abstract

The development of the Internet Technique has had an important influence on the change and development of statistical survey data collection. In the past, the CAPI(Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing) or CADI(Computer Assisted Data Input) methods have been used as a survey method using computers but currently the data collection based on the Internet has been expanding since the year 2000. As a result, there has been a recent emphasis put on ways to improve respondent participation and response rates for web-based data collection by using an internet survey. End user's participation is required in order to apply for new technology in statistical research (Jack, 2001). In this paper, I will describe some considerations of how to improve the respondents’ satisfaction while completing the survey data capture system as part of the pilot survey for the 2005 Population and Housing Census.
