Title Incentives in Internet Surveys
Year 2001
Access date 20.04.2004
Abstract This paper discusses the use of incentives for long (i.e. time-consuming) online surveys. Starting with a telephone recruitment interview, qualified Internet users are asked to log on to a web site to complete the survey. As part of the recruitment interview, qualified respondents are offered the incentive. The relationship between amount of incentive offered, sampling frame, sampling stratum and length of web questionnaire are studied with regard to maximizing the percent of qualified respondents completing the web questionnaire.
