Call for Papers

Both technological and methodological advancements continue to drive change in the business world, and the commercial research arena is no exception. Omnipresent devices that capture and deliver digital information have accelerated the speed, opened access to new respondents, and expanded the nature of measurement within traditional quantitative and qualitative marketing research. The impact of these advancements is arguably an evolutionary one. Other advances have produced new data sources, new analytical approaches, and new platforms for understanding what consumers want and for predicting what they will buy. Some regard these developments as revolutionary and even disruptive. For the 2016 CASRO Digital research Conference, we seek papers examining revolutionary as well as evolutionary changes affecting the research industry. Papers may cover topics including but not limited to the following:

  • Survey research methods: We invite paper submissions that explore how elements of survey research are evolving in arenas like sampling and data collection:

  • Non-survey research methods: We seek paper submissions that evaluate and apply methods of gaining insights outside the realm of the "ask and answer” purview of surveys:

  • Integration of survey and non-survey research methods: We are especially interested in papers demonstrating actionable syntheses of survey and non-survey approaches to improve the quality of decisions that business managers make.

The commercial research landscape does have periods of stability, but now is not one of them. Be a part of the discussion.
Deadline for submitting Papers: January 8, 2016
