Understanding and solving ethical dilemmas is of key importance for professional conduct of web surveys and survey research in general. Because survey research, as well as opinion and market research is today a global enterprise, different ethical standards and guidelines may exist across the world in order to help researchers face ethical dilemmas. In this supplement to Chapter 6, we follow the structure of the core web survey process (Chapters 2, 3 and 4) and present examples of ethical dilemmas for all corresponding stages (Sections).
