Call for papers for 4th International Workshop on Internet Survey Methods (Statistics Korea)

Statistics Korea is pleased to announce its 4th International Workshop on Internet Survey Methods at the Statistical Center in Daejeon, Korea on September 12-13, 2012. The Workshop is organized by Statistics Korea on an annual basis to address emerging challenges of Internet-based surveys and share in the wealth of optimum practices. We seek proposals for presentations that explore recent web-based survey methodologies and data quality issues in web surveys.   

The 4th Workshop will take place under the provisional theme of “Quality Improvement of Official Statistics and the Role of Internet Survey Methods.” The theme will provide a forum to explore the expandability of Internet-based survey methods to official statistics and a variety of improvement efforts in data quality. Participation in this Workshop enables attendees to acquire advanced knowledge and enrich both individuals and organizations. All those with interests in statistical or methodological issues are welcome to attend this workshop.  

The deadline for proposals is April 6, 2012 and must be submitted online via email to azealia1@korea.kr. The proposal should include an abstract that does not exceed 500 words, excluding the title, name(s) and affiliation(s). Please note that the official language of the Workshop is English, so all presentations should be delivered in this language.  

Acceptance notification will be sent by the end of April. Final papers/presentation slides must be submitted by August 15, 2012. The purpose of this deadline is to ensure that all proceedings of the Workshop are able to be published in a timely manner.
