Abstract

The past decade has seen a proliferation of Internet opportunities for adolescents who seek advice for health-related issues, but less is known about the contents of their searches. The purpose of this survey was to explore contents of adolescents' questions and physicians' responses in an adolescent health forum established in 2006 by Clalit Health Services (Israel's largest HMO) in collaboration with Y-NET (an Israeli popular internet platform). Each year the forum receives about 1200 anonymous new entries and six pediatricians experienced in adolescent health care respond to the questions on a daily basis.
