The conference and workshop is hosted by the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, University of Tartu, Estonia. Tartu University is among the oldest universities in the Nordic-Baltic area, founded in 1632 by the Swedish king Gustav II Adolph. Nowadays it is a modern, fast-growing university with high academic standards for both teaching and research.
The purpose of the conference/workshop is to stimulate research, in an informal setting, and to foster the interaction of researchers in the interface between matrix theory and statistics.
