Dr Karin Hammarberg is a Senior Research Fellow in the Jean Hailes Research Unit at
Monash University. She is a Registered Nurse with 20 years’ experience as clinical coordinator
of IVF programs. Her Ph.D. research examined the experience of birth and
mothering after assisted conception. Karin’s main research interests are the psychosocial
aspects of infertility and infertility treatment; health and development of
children born as a result of assisted conception; infertility care in resource-constrained
settings, the transition to parenthood; and parenting of children with disabilities.
