Dr Gina Sartore is a Research Fellow in the Knowledge Exchange team. She is the Program Manager of MyTime and is responsible for content development and evaluation of the MyTime program.
Her PhD was in cognitive science/visual pattern recognition; her research investigated how habitual biases of attention caused by reading direction (left-right or right-left) affect the recognition of other kinds of patterns. It also investigated which parts of patterns are crucial for recognition and what happens when you enhance or remove them. Gina worked with readers of different languages, non-readers, and artificial neural network models as part of the research.
Her primary focuses are social connectedness, peer support and mental health.
